This article explains how pForecast allows users to input drilling plans and consider the effects of rig availability and non-drilling periods on future production. The rig availability factor is entered as a percentage in pForecast and influences the drilling schedule performance. Meanwhile, non-drilling periods with fixed start times and uncertain duration can be inputted as planned work. The software allows for the definition of multiple drilling schedules and presents the information in Gantt charts to illustrate drilling schedules and demonstrate how uncertainty propagates over drilling targets.
