This latest pForecast product update continues our focus on improving user experience in our flagship solution. As always, you’ll find valuable enhancements — most notably, the ability to import your facility and cluster data directly into pForecast using Excel. A few bug fixes are also included in this release, and — last but not least — the user manual now features a brand-new chapter.
The latest pForecast includes the following items:
Smarter data management
- You can now import facility and cluster setups directly from Excel on the Facilities tab in Asset Properties. When downloading the Excel template, you can also choose to pre-fill it with existing data for a faster and more seamless update process.
Improved user experience
- A new confirmation dialog now appears when you download export files, giving clear feedback during data-sharing operations.
- The asset tree layout automatically adjusts its width based on the visible content — making the structure much easier to read and navigate.
Simplified asset administration
- Added quick-access buttons to switch between Asset Administration and Asset Overview, designed for users who manage assets across both areas.
Bug Fixes & Improvements
- Improvement: JSON files used for data sharing are now more compact and include additional information for enhanced interoperability.
- Fixed issues related to access-right checks for assets on the Company Administration page to ensure more reliable permission handling.
- Exporting assets and scenarios for data sharing now works reliably, with all cluster references and reservoir simulations correctly included.
- Asset imports for data sharing are now robust, even when a facility has multiple clusters with the same name.
- New user role assignments now work seamlessly and are applied correctly.
Behind the Scenes of pForecast
We’re also excited to announce a new release of the pForecast User Manual, now featuring an entirely new chapter that takes you behind the scenes of our flagship product.
This update gives users deeper insight into how pForecast works and how forecasting results are generated:
- Chapter 11 – “Understanding the pForecast Model Engine” offers a closer look at the logic behind the model — including how decisions are made, priorities are set, and results are produced.
- This new chapter helps you understand the inner workings of pForecast, giving you greater confidence and transparency in the forecasts you create.
Tips for our users:
- Tip 1: Use the index on the left-hand side to navigate directly to the chapter.
- Tip 2: You can also search for “Model engine” by clicking anywhere in the manual and pressing CTRL + F to open the search dialog.
Stay in the loop!
