Reviewing pForecast progress and shaping what comes next
Last week, the pForecast Product Committee met to review recent product development, discuss the roadmap ahead, and share ideas for the next generation of pForecast.
The meeting brought together members of the pForecast team and customers who use the solution in their day-to-day production forecasting. With a detailed look at what has been delivered, what is currently in development, and what our customers would like to see next, the meeting provided a valuable opportunity to look at pForecast from both the product and user perspectives.
Looking at what has been delivered
A significant part of the meeting was dedicated to features and improvements released since the previous Product Committee meeting.
The pForecast team presented the latest functionality and discussed how the new features are designed to support forecasting workflows, improve usability, and provide additional capabilities for our users.
It was also an opportunity to look back at some of the ideas and requests discussed previously and see how these have developed into actual product functionality.
Looking ahead
The committee also received a detailed presentation of the pForecast roadmap and the areas we are currently working on.
The roadmap discussion covered further improvements to both External API and Scalability & Performance, alongside several initiatives aimed at improving the platform and removing bug fixes.
While a roadmap naturally continues to evolve, sharing the direction of future development gives our customers an opportunity to understand where pForecast is heading and how upcoming functionality may support their future needs.
Hearing directly from our customers
An important part of the meeting was hearing directly from the companies using pForecast.
Our customers presented their experiences, requirements, and ideas for new features and improvements. These discussions provide valuable insight into how pForecast is used in different organizations and where additional functionality could create value.
For the pForecast team, this direct feedback is an important part of evaluating development priorities and understanding which challenges are most relevant to our users.
From ideas to development
The Product Committee provides a forum where product development and real-world user requirements can meet.
Some ideas may lead directly to future features, while others contribute to a better understanding of how pForecast is used and where the product can evolve. The discussions also help us challenge our own assumptions and look at the product from the perspective of those using it in their daily work.
Continuing the conversation
The Product Committee meeting is one of several ways we work closely with our customers to continuously improve pForecast.
We would like to thank all the participants for their time, openness, and valuable input. The discussions from this year’s meeting will contribute to our continued work on making pForecast an effective and flexible solution for production forecasting.
We look forward to turning more of these ideas into product improvements in the months ahead.
